Texel4Trading was approached by a private client that wanted to generate solar energy on their property, and didn’t want to place solar panels on their roof.

We visited the property and proposed an installation to place PV panels on the perimeter fence.

PV panels are usually installed with a south-facing orientation. Our philosophy, however, is to find creative solutions to catch every ray of sunshine - we don’t work only with south-facing surfaces. When we calculated the yield of the panels based on the angle of the fence we were amazed to find that the fence was facing the exact direction needed in the Netherlands to maximize the amount of light that can be captured by the system. 

Golden cell panels were selected for this project, to create a harmonious result, integrating the fence into the surrounding green spaces.
